Tissot Celebrates MotoGP with new 2020 Watch Collection
For a number of years, the MotoGP watch collection from Tissot has been one of the mainstays of this historic Swiss brand, focusing on motorcycling traditions and riders alike to create a range of watches that have been heavily sought after by enthusiasts the world over.
This March represents the next release in this bestselling collection of timepieces, with the announcement of 5 new and exciting watches ‘joining the grid’.
Taking over from the rose gold detailing on the previous 2 years creations, this year’s Automatic and Quartz models have been re-styled around a masculine and streamlined silver design, using colour accents through the brake calliper dial and footrest strap lugs to create a distinctly different look.
The silver has then been wonderfully paired with a flamboyant flame red throughout the stitching of the strap, face sub-dials and movement hands to create a charismatic and dynamic design that has become synonymous with the MotoGP collection.
Away from the standard Automatic and Quartz models, Tissot have then created 3 standout designs for the series most prestigious riders, Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo and Thomas Luthi.
Following on from last year’s models, Tissot have focused the general aesthetics of each watch around the rider’s specific colour schemes, with Red, Black and White the main focus for Marquez and Lorenzo, and Black and Blue the focus for Luthi.
However, whilst the styling of the overriding colour schemes has remained a constant, the vision for this year’s rider dials has differed hugely, with the dial of each riders corresponding watch benefiting from an embossed rider logo within the dial.
The standout of these is on the new Marc Marquez watch, where Marc’s famous Ant motif has been expertly etched into the black dial to give the appearance of the watch a wonderful contrast from the surround components.
Once again, each of the watches comes complete with a complimentary helmet case, something that fans of this particular collection have come to love, and which sets the watch apart from any other racing watch on the market.
For this year’s limited-edition release, the 3 rider models and the standard quartz timepiece have each been limited to 4999 pieces, with the automatic model limited to just 3333.
With this in mind we are now taking pre-orders for all 5 watches, but get one whilst you still can because we only have a limited allocation available and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
